APPRECIATION
by Richard Cracroft
This is a note I sent to Gene early on in our friendship—one of many such expressions through the years.
Re: Appreciation
Thanks, friend Gene, for your kind and generous gift of Dialogues with Myself. Since chatting with you on Friday, I have taken time to read and browse and find the book absolutely delightful. I get a sense of Mormon letters coming of age and am thrilled to be an observer (not a voyeur) at its puberty rites.
You have made a significant contribution to the discipline; you have done much to make a discipline out of a field. I am grateful to you and rejoice in associating with you.
And I am also a devotee of Charlotte’s concoctions.
