The Eugene England Foundation is sponsoring a panel about Eugene England and this website at this year’s Salt Lake Sunstone Symposium. Our session is on Thursday, 5 August, 11:15am to 12:45pm at the Salt Lake City Sheraton Hotel (150 West 500 South). Admission is included with symposium registration, or you can attend via a single session ticket for $6.
The session will include:
Dan Wotherspoon, Eugene England website project director, introducing the website.
Jody England Hansen, Eugene’s daughter, taking attendees through a tour of classic England family photos (and what was really happening behind the scenes).
Charlotte Hawkins England, Eugene’s wife, talking about their mission together to Samoa during the first years of their marriage.
Charlotte Hansen, Eugene’s granddaughter, speaking about the Eugene England Papers, which will be available for research at the University of Utah Marriott Library Special Collections beginning in 2011.
Rebecca England, Eugene’s daughter, giving context to Elder Bruce R. McConkie’s notorious 1981 letter to Professor England.
