well, to be honest, I think beleiving something like science is genuinely better than acting out of “popular belief”. It is true that it is not possible to tell between an ancient alchemist from a scientist today and all that politically correct views such as “scientists are stupid outside their own fields”. However, it is one thing to believe in a tried-and-proven-correct thing and quite another to be simply mindless which is often the case.
